DIG IN TO HELP FIGHT HUNGER
The annual Chiefs' Charity Pasta Feast in support of Kawartha Lakes Food Source is set to take place Friday, January 27th, 2012 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Victoria Park Armoury in Lindsay.
This is the 9th year for the event and an example of the community working together to support a worthy cause. Anywhere from between 400 to 500 people flock to the armoury to enjoy the meal, music and an all-round good time.
"The Pasta Feast is a very important fundraiser for us, but it's also a lot of fun says Captain Michael Simpson, Chair, KLFS Board of Directors. "Over the years it's become a great place to see friends and support a great cause at the same time."
There has been no price increase in three years, so just $12 buys a lunch that includes pasta, sauce, homemade meatballs, chili, Caesar salad, a bun, dessert and coffee, tea or water. Rick & Terry will be providing music throughout the event.

For the third year, the Food Source's community partner is Buttertarts 'n' More, which supplies the pasta and sauce. Early bird tickets sold very well this year with all proceeds helping the Food Source.
Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the event.
